Dogs don't see as well as you might think. A dog's visual acuity is generally not as good as a regular creature according to Dr. Stanley Coren, writer of the book "How Dogs Think: Understanding the Canine Mind."

"If dogs drove cars, they'd have about 20/50 vision and their driver's license would say corrective lenses required," Coren said. Dogs may not drive cars, but they do need to be able to see them while playing in the street. Don't you want your dog to see as much of the world as possible?
